3. Grant Program
The AMAXG Foundation (AMF) is a key driving force behind the growth of the BizAuto ecosystem. By leveraging the power of decentralization, the AMF provides critical infrastructure support, including capital, technology, and operational guidance, to steer the coordinated future of BizAuto. The AMAXG Foundation Grant Framework serves as a major pillar of financial support within the BizAuto ecosystem.
This document outlines the AMF Grant Framework guidelines, detailing the application and approval processes.
Which Projects Can Apply for Direct Grants?
The AMF considers three types of grants:
1. New Proposal: These projects are initiated by community members and can include core chain enhancements, SDKs, tools, and applications.
2. Maintenance Grant: These grants, also initiated by the community, aim to restore support for a library, SDK, or tool that has fallen out of maintenance.
3. RFP Response: Occasionally, the AMF will issue a work request to the community in the form of a Request for Proposal (RFP). All community members, teams, and companies are welcome to apply.
Minimum Requirements:
• All code produced as part of a grant must be open-sourced and should not rely on closed-source software for full functionality.
• MIT license projects are given priority, though Apache 2.0, GPLv3, or Unlicensed are also acceptable.
• Grants are not awarded for projects that have been part of a successful token sale.
• Grant deliverables must primarily benefit the BizAuto network.
• Teams are generally expected to complete one grant before applying for another.
• Projects that promote gambling, illicit trade, money laundering, or other criminal activities will be rejected.
• All projects must include documentation that explains their functionality. At a minimum, written documentation is required for funding.
Grant Levels and Amounts:
Grant proposals are accepted at three levels, each with different amounts and criteria:
• Individual / Small: $10,000
• Team / Medium: Up to $50,000
• Company / Large: Over $50,000
How to Submit Your Grant Application:
The application process is completed through GitHub. The steps are as follows:
1. Sign in to GitHub: Access the repository at https://github.com/bizauto/grant-framework.
2. Fork the Repository: Create a fork at https://github.com/bizauto/grant-framework/fork.
3. Create a New File from the Template: In your fork, copy the Grant Application template (applications/application-template.md) and rename it to your project name, such as myproject_name.md. Place it in the applications directory. Ensure the filename ends with .md and contains no spaces.
4. Fill Out the Template: Include detailed information about your project, covering basic information, contact details, project overview, ecosystem fit, team, development status, roadmap, and milestones. The more information provided, the faster the review process will be.
5. Submit the Application: Once complete, create a Pull Request with your new file. The Pull Request should contain only the new Markdown file you created. The AMF Committee or Evaluators will then review your application.
Approval Process:
1. Initial Review by the Grant Committee:
• The Grant Committee, composed of senior members of the BizAuto community, reviews the application based on ecosystem priorities. The committee’s focus is more business-oriented, although they understand the technical requirements of the network’s future.
2. Technical Evaluation by the Grant Evaluators:
• If the Grant Committee approves the application, it is passed to the Grant Evaluators for technical assessment. This team focuses on the technical feasibility, optimality, and achievability of the proposal within the specified time frame.
If the application is approved by both the Grant Committee and the Grant Evaluators, the grant application is successful. If rejected, the AMF Grant Framework staff will provide feedback, allowing for modifications and resubmission.
Milestone-Based Payout System:
• Payment Structure: Payments are made in BIZA tokens at the completion of each milestone, up to and including the final deliverable. The evaluator has the right to approve or reject each milestone based on the quality and timeliness of deliverables.
• Rejected Milestones: Feedback will be provided for any rejected milestones, and developers can continue to work on the project for further evaluation or decide to halt the project.
A Framework for a Stronger Future
Supported by key members of the BizAuto community, business leaders, and developers, the AMAXG Foundation (AMF) launched this Grant Framework to strengthen the BizAuto ecosystem.
With access to an efficient, transparent, flexible, and milestone-driven grant investment framework, the BizAuto network is poised to enter a new era of development opportunities previously unavailable to participants.
BizAuto Network
The BizAuto Network is a cutting-edge blockchain platform powered by the BizAuto VM, a low-latency, highly performant, and extensible engine for deterministic execution of transactions with minimal fees; purpose-built for optimal Web3 user and developer experiences. BizAuto is the flagship blockchain and financial center of the EOS framework, driving multi-chain collaboration and public goods funding for tools and infrastructure through the AMAXG Foundation (AMF).
